Giving Thanks on Nov 17

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” -1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV

After all that is happening in the world and has happened, its hard to give thanks especially when you question why God would let so many innocent people die. But the question on why He allows horrors to fill our world is one that has gone unanswered for many people for a very long time. This world is cursed. The land of this earth was cursed whenRead More »

Thankful on Nov 8

It’s amazing that I am pursuing a degree that gives me a chance to be able to use the Bible as a textbook for school. As I go to school for Youth Ministry, I use a text book and scholar articles like other majors, but the main textbook I get to use is God’s Words!! How special!

Thankful on Nov 4

If you take time to move over to my About the Author page, you will see I am a survivor of a relationship gone wrong. Abuse in multiple forms. I didn’t think I would love again.

I write today to say God blessed me with a wonderful boyfriend who has been there for me for the past 3 1/2 years. He has comforted me when I have my anxiety attacks. He has assured me when I have felt insignificant. He has been more than what I ever expected from a boyfriend.

God is always looking out for those who love Him.

Thankful: I Know Jesus

24 years ago, this week, my parents were getting ready to welcome home a new baby girl. At the same time, a 22 year old woman was preparing to make a very difficult decision. She had already decided but still had 5 days to make it official. 24 years ago, this week, I was born and was blessed with a family that raised me in a Christian home.

My older birth brother is Wiccan, my birth sister and younger brother have been confused for years. My sister only recently has come to Christ. I was blessed. I could have been just as confused. I could have gone through more horrific things than I did.

I am thankful I had a great family that introduced me to Jesus.

Thankful: Ability to Comprehend

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. – Colossians 3:15

This month of November, people tend to think of what they are thankful for more than other months of the year. Rightfully so! Its the month that contains Thanksgiving. You might see posts on Facebook leading up to Thanksgiving listing these things. I have always thought this was a great idea so I plan to do just that on my Facebook, and I will be sharing them with you. But guess what… I will be going more in depth for you. I will be bringing God into each one. So here is today’s:

The first thing I want to state thankfulness for is the ability to comprehend as much as I can in order to learn more about God.

There are some people in this world that do not grasp the concept of God and all of His being because something just doesn’t “click” in their mind. To them, its just hogwash. I grieve for them. I feel so bad for them. I ponder on the question, why can I understand but they can’t? I can understand their reasoning to a point. Maybe too many horrific things have happened to them. Maybe they don’t see the point of being here on earth just to die in the end. I had many of the same questions but not to the extent that I rejected God.

Then there are those who aren’t mentally capable of comprehending God. They have a mental limitation and don’t seem to grasp His wholeness… of what we can see. I would love to be in their mind for one day to see how they see things especially when it comes to God and His creation. Now, I know theses beautiful people see God on a different level, but I am curious to see how far their comprehension goes.

Share your thoughts! I would love to hear your answers to these questions: Do you know someone who rejects God? Do you reject the thought of the existence of God? How can I help you understand (if you would like to understand)? Do you know someone who is slower cognitively? Do you have an idea on how they see God?
