A couple years ago, I decided that I liked the idea of having an hour before bed without technology. Now this has been suggested by many sleep specialists and researchers. I thought that this would be the perfect time to bring myself into a quiet time with God. Keep reading to find out what happens during those hours. Read More »
Earlier today, I was pondering about the verse:
“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”-Psalm 46:10 NIV
It was a random thought and hit me like a ton of bricks. Less than 200 miles away, a search is going on for 3 suspects of a killing of a cop. There are many out there hurting physically and emotionally. There are those without jobs or homes. Some people just lost a loved one or got news that they are sick, some terminal. These situations are scary and depressing. We can lose hope faster than these situations come into our lives.
Be still- Stop what you are doing or thinking.
Know that I Am God- God is God. He is the creator, He is all knowing, and will work things together.
I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the Earth.
This is a verse that should be hanging in our sight at all times so we can be constantly reminded so when hard and troubling times come, we can be still and remember God has a plan and it’s not a plan to make us suffer. It’s a plan that we will learn from and give us a better future.
