Give Thanks

“Lord, thank you for all that You have blessed me with. Family, friends, a home, food, clean water.” You probably say something similar throughout this day of Thanksgiving if you are a Christian. If you aren’t a Christian and you are reading this, I am curious to hear what you say throughout the day. I don’t want to cause trouble, I genuinely want to know.

Thanksgiving Devotional Day 3/4

Day 3

An attitude of gratitude

“I’ll be happy when I get _____” is a triple trap. For one, it keeps you miserable as you wait impatiently to be fulfilled. During the week of Thanksgiving, our nation pauses. Most businesses and schools close. Kids come home from school with Pilgrim artwork, black buckled hats, and stories of Squanto. There will be much turkey, pumpkin pie, and football. There may even be some giving of thanks.Read More »

Giving Thanks on Nov 17

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” -1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV

After all that is happening in the world and has happened, its hard to give thanks especially when you question why God would let so many innocent people die. But the question on why He allows horrors to fill our world is one that has gone unanswered for many people for a very long time. This world is cursed. The land of this earth was cursed whenRead More »
